Venus von Vellmar is a stunning 2-year-old long-haired German Shepherd with a beautiful, gentle soul. She brings a quiet charm to every outing and is happiest when she’s exploring the outdoors by your side. Venus has a medium energy level and enjoys shorter, relaxed outings. Don’t let her scare you but after being stuck in her kennel, she comes out to greet you like a gust of wind. However, she settles down quite quickly and is just happy to be with you. She loves to roam, curiously studying plants, animals, and rocks along the way, and she’s never afraid to take breaks. On hikes, she stays close, always aware of her people, and her easygoing nature makes her a wonderful trail companion. She also loves water and happily splashes into puddles when she finds them. Around other dogs — including small dogs — she is calm, polite, and friendly. She breezes through group walks and playgroups with a comfortable, confident attitude, but her focus always returns to her people. She craves affection and loves to bury her head in your arms for comfort and connection.Venus knows her “Sit” and “Down” commands, is treat-motivated, and takes treats gently. Her great social skills and cheerful spirit shine during outings, and she shows excellent manners in the car, often gazing quietly out the window or resting peacefully during the ride. She is bright, sweet, and deeply appreciative of all the love and attention she receives. She would thrive in a home where she can continue to explore the world alongside her person, soaking up all the love she deserves.
